Agape Bible Ministries is a “Book of Acts Church” and desire to live by the standards of Acts 2:42. As such we aspire to be people who remain grounded in the Word of God and minister as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4: 11-12)
God
We believe in one God, the creator of the universe and all that is in it. We believe that God exists eternally as three distinct persons as one God: God the Father; God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and that these three are one God. We believe that God continues to love us, and wants to have fellowship with us.
Sin
We believe that all mankind has sinned and as a result has become separated from God his creator.
Jesus Christ and Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He entered the world through the virgin’s birth. We believe Jesus lived a sinless life and died for our sins, according to the Scriptures so that human beings can be saved. We believe Jesus was crucified, buried, and that He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures.
We believe the only way to be reunited with God is by accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord through faith in Him.
We believe that because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, as believers we now have God’s authority to be involved in a vibrant healing and deliverance ministry. Healing from diseases and deliverance from strongholds in one’s life (John 10:10).
The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit prompts sinful man to consider a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe He lives in the believer at all times and provides him/her with guidance for living, understanding God’s truth and direction in doing what is right. We believe the Holy Spirit comes upon believers to impart gifts to be used in ministry to God and to build up the church, the body of Christ.
It is evident that most Christians in the Book of Acts began to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues. We therefore encourage this expression both in the public and private prayers of our members.
The Bible

We believe the Bible, containing the Old and New Testament is the infallible word of God written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the only source of Christian doctrine and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Prayer

We believe prayer is talking with God and is the primary way to communicate with Him. It is an essential part in the life of every Christian.
We believe that God has made all kinds of prayer available to us. As a result we will learn and practice all kinds of prayer available to us as Paul described in Ephesians 6:18
We believe that Christians may combine praying with fasting during times when a closer relationship with God is desired especially when we speak to Him for specific answers.
Ordinances

We believe there are two ordinances of the Church, Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These are restricted to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
We believe Water Baptism, with complete immersion was commanded by Jesus and demonstrates to the world that a person has committed his/her life to the service of Jesus Christ.
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ and that it is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again. It is a sign of our participation in Him.
Jesus' Second Coming
We believe that Jesus Christ will return visibly and in glory to the earth. We believe the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.
We believe that the unrighteous will be eternally separated from God while those who have lived for Jesus Christ will live forever with Him.
